Hybrid Inverter Control

When the difference between the desired and actual room temperature is large, the inverter activates PAM mode, delivering high output to quickly reach comfort. When the difference is small, it switches to PWM mode, requiring minimal power input with maximum efficiency. While many inverter AC units use one of these control methods, Toshiba’s DC hybrid inverter integrates both technologies simultaneously, achieving optimal performance.

 

Dual Rotary Compressor

The benefits of inverter technology are further enhanced with Toshiba’s dual rotary piston compressors, enabling excellent speed control in the 20%–100% output range.

 

Dust Filter

All Toshiba units come equipped with large, washable plastic filters covering the entire heat exchanger. These capture coarse dirt and dust right at the air intake.

 

Plasma Filter

Toshiba’s plasma filter is an electric air purifier that works in two stages. It removes the smallest particles with up to 99% efficiency, thanks to its electrostatic cells — a level of filtration that standard filters cannot match.

 

SUPER Ionizer

A fresh innovation in Toshiba’s product line, the SUPER ionizer, used in combination with the plasma filter, actively neutralizes airborne pollutants. Nano-sized SUPER ions surround and deactivate unwanted particles, while also positively affecting humidity and skin elasticity. Exclusively built into Daiseikai 9 models, it ensures a perfectly clean indoor climate.

 

Self-Cleaning Function

To blow clean air, the unit itself must stay clean. Toshiba’s self-cleaning system reduces moisture inside the unit to prevent mold growth. After operation, the indoor unit’s fan continues running to dry the heat exchanger and then shuts off automatically.

 

Auto Mode

Automatically selects the optimal mode – cooling, heating, or fan – based on room conditions.

 

Hi – Power

Activates an intense airflow mode for quick cooling and reaching the desired temperature faster.

 

Self-Diagnosis

In case of a malfunction, the unit automatically identifies the issue and displays error codes to inform the user.

 

Eco Mode

For energy-saving operation, the room temperature, fan speed, and operating mode are automatically regulated.

 

Quiet Mode

Toshiba units are known for their exceptionally quiet indoor and outdoor operation. Activating Quiet Mode allows manual fan speed control, reducing noise output of Daiseikai and Suzumi Plus indoor units by up to 3 dB(A).

 

Comfort Sleep

Night-time cooling can feel disruptive. The Comfort Sleep function allows the room temperature to increase by 1 °C per hour for up to 2–3 hours, ensuring optimal comfort while you sleep.

 

Toshiba Wi-Fi Control

With the Wi-Fi adapter, the air conditioning unit can be controlled via mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, or PCs. A Wi-Fi network and an external controller (installed near or inside the unit) are required. The system is activated and managed through the app, offering maximum convenience. (Unless otherwise stated, this is optional equipment.)

 

Weekly Timer

Includes 4 freely programmable settings per day, and 7 different weekly programs (on/off, temperature, operation mode, and fan speed).

 

Automatic Restart

In the event of a power outage, the unit will automatically restart with the previous settings once power is restored.

 

8 °C Frost Protection Mode

Maintains a constant indoor temperature of 8 °C to prevent freezing during absence in winter.

 

Preset Mode

Stores your preferred settings in memory for quick recall and use during the next start-up.

 

Power selection

Allows you to limit the unit’s power consumption by 25%, 50%, or 75%, reducing energy use.
